80% of the time, we start with a pitch deck. After all, capital needs to be raised in order to pay for an effective brand identity. By working with pitch decks, DBC is uniquely able to understand the story of a startup, their goals and target market, and who their competitors are. Armed with this knowledge, we design visual identities that represent the companies they want to be (we always hope to work with unicorns), not the companies that they are today. We were taught, "dress for the job you want, not the job you have". This applies to startups even more!
