Rebranding: Remember to Reflect Core Principles and to Have Fun

Energize Your Voice is an exciting communications company. To design a successful new identity we needed to reflect the fun of the brand while keeping the goals of the company prominent.

Integrating a brand's growth into the original message of the company is one of the most interesting challenges to consider as a designer.

DBC was also excited to work with Energize Your Voice because they put into practice our core branding tenet: Your brand is only as good as how it's perceived. Energize Your Voice teaches individuals and companies how their outward presentation reflects upon them and how to align their inner selves with their outer appearance.

Before (L) and After (R)

To better understand how Energize Your Voice accomplishes this, Carlos was invited by the founder and CEO, Minna, to participate in an Energize Your Voice workshop. The workshop was was an equal mix of education and inspiration. From meditation to vocal exercises and eye contact parade, the workshop provided an effective toolkit for improving personal and professional communication skills.

During the workshop, Carlos was struck by the sense of community and comfort that quickly grew between the participants. This experience was a great resource in planning the rebrand.

Luckily for DBC, Minna gave us a free reign to re-imagine the brand and bring it back to its core message - a company that is exciting, that changes lives and that motivates positive change.

Energize Your Voice's new identity is an example of the core principles at work - an identity that can adapt to both digital and print media while staying recognizable. The new identity also puts fun and energy in its proper place within the brand; front and center.
