A Passion Project: Free Transform launches a brand, Kyle Ishmael for NY State Assembly
This summer, DBC launched a new passion project, named Free Transform, armed with a mission to provide modern branding to progressive local political campaigns and candidates. We held a Branding for Campaigns workshop in June and are proud to announce the results: our first workshop alum's campaign!
Political Branding for Progressive Candidates
We partnered with Kyle Ishmael (running for NY State Assembly in Manhattan's 71st district) and his team to develop their campaign logo and website. Through the workshop we learned about Kyle's platform and the issues he cares most about. We also did image research to get a better feel for the district he's running to represent (Harlem and Washington Heights). After compiling our research, we came up with the following branding which is in use by the campaign now. We also designed their website using Squarespace for easy hand-off to the campaign team.
